MONASTERY
Clinging to a sheer cliff 900 metres above the Paro valley, Paro Taktsang — the Tiger's Nest — is Bhutan's most sacred and iconic sight. The trek to its prayer-flag-draped courtyards is the spiritual summit of the expedition: a slow, deliberate ascent rewarded with incense, silence and one of the Himalayas' most breathtaking views.
